Electricity in Okinawa Life Okinawa Electric Power - Electrical Science Museum Commissioned work, March 2020 / Sachiko Akinaga

This Lego town is one of two Lego models on permanent display at the Okinawa Electric Power - Electric Science Museum. It is a diorama of an Okinawa city that I created with LEGO to encourage children to think about electricity in their daily lives. Another model is ‘How Electricity Is Generated’.

The sightseeing spots of Okinawa, as well as the Yui Rail and festivals, are all concentrated in a 1.5 m area. The Okinawa Electric Power Company Gushigawa Thermal Power Station and Electric Science Museum are also located here.

Shuri Castle can be seen in the foreground and the Okinawa Electric Power Company Gushigawa Thermal Power Station and the Electric Science Museum can be seen by the sea.
