LEGO Brick Workshop, Let's make a Machida Grade Intersection Lego Town, For The Machida grade intersection Project Commissioned work, Mar 2007 / Sachiko Akinaga |
This Lego Town for Machida Grade Intersection was built by children who took part in a brick workshop event for the Machida Grade Intersection project. I constructed the Grade Intersection and 100 children built 100 cars. After its completion, this Lego Town was displayed in the Machida Mirai Kan. Lego model size : W1,536 x D1,152 x H400mm |

The children signed the assembled cars with their own signatures and placed the cars and minifigs in their favourite places on the multi-storey road. |
There are two types of vehicles, a standard car and a van, but all 100 kits were made in different colour combinations, so it feels as if there are many different cars on the road. |
I made simple models of some of the actual buildings : a Mercedes-Benz showroom, a gas station, flats, etc.. |
